Super Tuesday 2020 – Who will come out on top?
On Super Tuesday, March 3rd, states across the country will hold their presidential primaries. Many will be watching for the results. The victor can walk away with delegates that will more than likely help them secure their parties’ nomination at the presidential conventions.
Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia will hold presidential primaries. The American Samoa caucuses will also occur. Primaries for Democrats residing outside of the US will begin on March 3rd ending March 10th. 1,357 of the 3,979 pledged delegates will be awarded during the Democratic primaries on Super Tuesday. 1,617 total delegates could be awarded across candidates.
At present, the fight for the democratic nomination appears to be between Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden. Biden after a strong showing in South Carolina’s presidential primary looks to regain some lost footing.
