Teddy Riley and Babyface IG Live
On Saturday music greats Teddy Riley and Babyface in front of 400k Instagram live viewers attempted a #Verzuz challenge and babe….they unknowingly gave the world a much needed laugh. Alright so boom, things went left when Teddy Riley could not get his sound right. Low volume and echo’s plagued his entire set up from the start. Spectators in the comments could be likened to being in the nosebleed section at a concert. They were telling the Riley camp that his sound was off, but his camp weren’t trying to hear it. Babyface was gracious enough to agree to the session seeing how he had just overcome a bout with that ole nasty Rona. He was ready though.
Teddy Riley set it off with the hood classic, Doug E. Fresh’s “The Show.” Babyface came back with The Deele “Two Occasions.” But first he had to flex with a dedication to the ladies as he sipped some red wine!!! From there, the flow went as follows: Teddy Riley: Guy – “Groove Me”, Bobby Brown – “Don’t Be Cruel”, Teddy Riley: Hi-Five – “I Like the Way” and Babyface: Bobby Brown – “Every Little Step.
Two things are certain, they both have a catalog out of this world and have worked with the some of the greatest talent in music history. If only things ended so smoothly. Black Twitter was fast on the draw with memes and comments that kept everyone up all night with laughter.
Toni Braxton’s timeline was lit with hilarious commentary as well. Relive the experience and check out the comments via the clip from YouTube. Tune in on Monday, April 20th at 8 pm EST / 5 pm PST for the rematch.
Yes, there are actually people protesting “stay at home” measures. You just can’t make this stuff up. Allegedly, the protests are being fueled and paid for by conservatives. Citing “lost of freedoms” and an urgency to return back to work as the reason. While most Americans agree with the safer at home measures in effect across the country, the media has chosen to fixate upon the few hundred that don’t.
This pandemic has brought out the worst in some and the best in others. As of Sunday the United States COVID-19 standings were:
764,177 Confirmed cases
40, 591 -Deaths
The majority of residents continue to push back and remain in quarantine in order to help “flatten the curve”. The Federal Government must get on board and stop hindering testing efforts and provide sufficient substantial supplemental income to citizens to ride out this pandemic. Rushing people back to work without an adequate testing program or vaccine in place will only lengthen the time of the pandemic.
