Decorating Tips for your Spring Spruce Up
Fresh rain,
What I love most about spring is the color palette. If you are like me and feel compelled to brighten up your space, then I am sure you will love these five decorating tips that won’t bust your budget.

Changing out your drapes and window dressings is a great place to start. Shop the trinity (Home Goods, Marshall’s or TJ Maxx ) for some great deals on window decor. Lighter hued colors filter the light, but still provide a sense of openness. Or forgo curtains altogether and consider using sheer panels instead.
Pillows, pillows, and more pillows. A simple swap out of pillows can do wonders for any bedroom or living room. Mix it up a bit by using pillows with different textures. You can save a ton of money by purchasing pillow inserts this makes changing out a little easier as well. Pillow covers purchased alone can be cheaper when purchased separately.
Experiment with accent pieces such as candle holders, bowls, vases, picture frames, rugs, and baskets. They are a great way to change the tone of a room. Thrift stores and restores such as the ones operated by Habitat for Humanity offer some fantastic finds. Wayfair and Target have some fabulous finds.

Plants make for wonderful accessories. They are a great way to fill in empty spaces and add color to a room. If real plants aren’t your thing, fake ones can get the job done as well. Be sure to dust your fake plants though. The dust can wreak havoc on ones allergies.
Tablescape ideas abound in the spring. Nothing signals a season change like replacing the chargers, napkins, and table floral arraignments. Its a great starting place for adding some spark to the dining area. IKEA is another one of my go to resources that won’t break the bank.

Spring is just around the corner. Soft hues and sunshine await. so get to shopping!!
