Experience, passion, and dedication both inside and outside of the classroom are qualities needed in a school board candidate and Caprice Edmond holds all of those plus more. Too often the practice of placing individuals in leadership that do not reflect the community of which they represent has been the tale of the tape in politics, especially in Pinellas County.
However, in this race the community has been very vocal in its backing of Edmond because of her outstanding leadership and presence. Significant campaign endorsements have been received by, the Pinellas Classroom Teacher’s Association (PCTA), Pinellas Educational Support Professionals Association (PESPA), Service Employees International Union (SEIU), St. Petersburg Council Members, Amy Foster and Brandy Gabbard, former Member Steve Kornell, and Child Advocate /Literacy Activist, Denise Ford, along with several other well respected business professionals and members of the community.
